The Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra
Please support the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra by participating in its violin auction fundraiser.
Using damaged beyond repair violins, GNOYO solicited local artists and celebrities, including Loyola assistant professor of visual arts and Diboll Art Gallery director Karoline Schleh, to create works of art which will be auctioned to raise funds for the nonprofit music education organization. During March and April, the violins will travel to various locations to gain exposure within the community.
When on display, the violins will be accompanied by a bid book, which will provide interested parties the opportunity to write their silent bid. Bids may also be placed online or mailed to the GNOYO office and MUST BE PLACED IN $50 INCREMENTS. Winners will be announced during the May 10 concert at Loyola University's Roussel Hall. (Winners need not be present.)
