Meg Hulley Frazier

Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities

Dr. Meg Hulley Frazier conducts the University's three choirs and teaches choral conducting and choral music education methods. She is beginning her fourth season as artistic director/conductor of the Northlake Performing Arts Society (NPAS) Chorale and Chamber Singers in Mandeville, Louisiana, and her second season of affiliation with the New Orleans-based Louisiana Vocal Arts Chorale as its artistic director/conductor. She also serves as organist for the First Christian Church of Greater New Orleans. Prior to coming to Loyola, she taught for six years in Texas public schools and for four years at Beloit College in Wisconsin. She is a frequent guest clinician, conductor, and adjudicator; she has worked with Honor Choirs in Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and is honored to have been selected as the conductor of the 2000 Louisiana Junior High All-State and the 2002 Kentucky Women's All-State. Last summer, she was the featured clinician for the Youth Honor Choirs for the Montreat Summer Worship Retreat in North Carolina. She will work with the Western Tennessee Junior High Honor Choir this fall. Dr. Frazier’s choirs have toured Europe three times and recently traveled to NYC to sing at Carnegie Hall. Dr. Frazier serves her profession as current president of the Louisiana chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. She is also a member of the College Music Society, Music Educators National Conference, and the National Alliance for Women in Music. She has been with the College of Music faculty since 1998.
