Valerie W. Goertzen

Dr. Valerie W. Goertzen has taught at the University of Southern Mississippi, Earlham College, Kenyon College, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro,and Wesleyan University. She is the recipient of numerous awards and grants,including a Fulbright Scholarship and the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst Study Grant. Goertzen's research interests include western art music of the 19th century, performance practice issues, and women composers and performers. She has been with the College of Music since 2003.
