David Morelock

Director of Opera and Musical Theater

David Morelock is one of America’s most experienced stage directors and has produced operas for all of the major regional opera companies in the United States and Canada. His assignments have also taken him to Israel, Mexico, and The Netherlands. He studied in Europe on a Fulbright Scholarship. He also has taught French and Italian at the college level and has given master classes at the University of Michigan and the University of Tennessee, as well as Loyola University New Orleans. Recently, Morelock was director of opera workshop at Indiana University. He has been with the College of Music faculty since 1995.
