Dreux Montegut

Instructor of Voice

Dreux Montegut is director of music at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, where he directs the St. Louis Cathedral Boychoir and the Archdiocesan Festival Chorus. He is also the director of the New Orleans Children’s Intermediate Chorus. His choirs have won several awards at music festivals on the district and state levels and have appeared at the state convention of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Montegut holds an Artist-Teacher Diploma from the Choral Music Experience Institute. He is an active member of the ACDA and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. He is the Repertoire and Standards Chairperson for Boychoir in the Southern Division of ACDA. He is also a member of Who’s Who Among American Teachers. He has been with the College of Music faculty since 1994.
